What to expect
A chartered surveyor walks round inside and out, then writes a report on the condition, rating issues by how urgent they are. Level 3 goes into much more detail than Level 2.
The visit is 2 to 6 hours. The report usually follows within a week.

Is it the same as the mortgage valuation?
