How much does Christmas lights installation cost?

Christmas lights fitted by Honest HQ cost from £1,574 (10% off before 30 November, usually £1,749). What changes the price

  • How much roofline you want lit. Track is the biggest part of the price.
  • How high it goes. A bungalow is quicker than a three-storey house.
  • Access: conservatories, extensions and steep drives take longer.
  • Extras like canopies, archways, lit paths and characters.
  • Power. An outside socket near the lights keeps it simple.

What's included

  • 48v LED light track, colour-matched to your fascia
  • Weatherproof power supply and smart controller
  • Fitting, wiring and setting up the app with you
  • A 48-hour call-out if anything fails
  • Taken down in January and stored till next year

Christmas only, or up all year?

The package price is the same either way. With the Christmas option we take the lights down in January, store them, and next year you pay half to have them back up. Or leave them up: permanent lights come on at dusk every evening and switch to colours whenever you like.

Questions people ask

How much does it cost to have Christmas lights put up?

Christmas lights fitted by Honest HQ cost from £1,574 (10% off before 30 November, usually £1,749). That covers the lights, fitting, a smart controller, a 48-hour call-out, taking them down in January and storing them. The lights are yours, so from next Christmas you pay half what you paid: from £787.

Why is next year half price?

Because you’ve already bought the lights. From your second Christmas you only pay for them to be put up, taken down and stored.

When should I book?

Installs run from October and early bookings get first pick of dates. Packages booked before 30 November are 10% off.

Is it cheaper to put them up myself?

Shop-bought lights cost less up front. With a fitted package you get commercial LED track instead of strings, someone else on the ladder twice a year, a 48-hour call-out if anything fails, and storage.

Can I leave them up all year?

Yes. The system is built to stay up. See permanent lights.
